2022 World Championship Deck Ondrej Skubal ADP
The 2022 World Championship Deck Ondrej Skubal ADP brings one of the most talked-about decks from the 2022 Pokemon World Championships directly into your hands as a faithful card-for-card replica. Whether you are a collector, a Pokemon TCG fan, or someone who wants to study competitive deck construction at the highest level, this release from the Sword and Shield era is a standout piece for any collection.
What’s Included in the Ondrej Skubal ADP Deck
This Pokemon TCG World Championship Deck comes packaged with everything you need to explore and display the full Ondrej Skubal ADP experience. The box includes:
- A 60-card deck, a card-for-card replica of Ondrej Skubal’s 2022 Worlds deck
- A deck box to store and protect your cards
- A playmat featuring World Championships artwork
- A collector’s pin
- A World Championships coin
- A World Championships booklet with background on the event and the player
- A code card for Pokemon TCG Live
The full contents make this more than just a deck. It is a complete collectible package that captures a specific moment in competitive Pokemon history.
Why This World Championship Deck Is Popular
The Ondrej Skubal deck draws significant interest from the Pokemon TCG community for several reasons. Skubal’s ADP build showcased an aggressive strategy built around powering up key attackers quickly, and the deck’s construction offers a detailed look at how a top-level Masters Division competitor approached the 2022 World Championships format.
For collectors, World Championship Decks are released annually and represent a snapshot of the competitive meta at the time of the event. Each year’s release is distinct, making the Pokemon TCG 2022 World Championship Deck a time-specific collectible that won’t be reproduced in the same form. Fans of the Sword and Shield era in particular will find this release especially relevant given the card pool it draws from.
The inclusion of a playmat, pin, coin, and booklet elevates the package well beyond a standard deck purchase, giving it strong shelf appeal alongside other Sword and Shield collectibles like the Pokemon TCG Sword and Shield Celebrations Deluxe Pin Collection Box.
Featured Cards and Deck Strategy
The ADP deck built by Ondrej Skubal centers on Arceus VSTAR as its cornerstone attacker and engine. The deck pairs Arceus VSTAR’s versatile attack and ability with supporting cards designed to accelerate energy and maintain pressure throughout the game. Additional attackers in the list complement Arceus VSTAR by covering different matchups and board states.
The deck also features Flying Pikachu VMAX and Hisuian Decidueye VSTAR as part of its strategic lineup, giving the build flexibility across a range of scenarios. Studying this list gives players a clear picture of how World Championships-level decks balance consistency, speed, and adaptability within the Sword and Shield card pool.
If you enjoy exploring how competitive builds are constructed, pairing this deck study with resources like the Pokemon TCG Trainer’s Toolkit 2023 can help you understand the Trainer card choices that underpin top-tier strategies.
Is This Deck Tournament Legal?
This is one of the most common questions buyers ask before purchasing, so it is worth addressing clearly. World Championship Decks are not tournament legal. The cards in this set are printed with a distinct card back and border that identify them as World Championships replica cards, which means they cannot be used in official sanctioned Pokemon TCG events.
This is intentional by design. The decks are produced as collectibles and educational tools, not as playable tournament sets. If you are looking to build a competitive deck for play, you would need to source the individual standard-print cards separately. For collectors, study purposes, or display, however, this replica is a high-quality and officially licensed product.
