One Piece TCG – Learn to Play Deck Set (LD-01)

The One Piece TCG Learn to Play Deck Set LD-01 is the official Bandai-produced beginner starter kit designed to get two players into the One Piece Card Game from the very first session. Whether you are new to trading card games entirely or just new to OPCG, the LD-01 gives you everything you need to learn, play, and enjoy the game together, right out of the box.

What’s Included

The LD-01 starter deck set is packed with content so no extra purchases are required to start playing. The One Piece Card Game Learn Together Deck Set contains:

• 3 prebuilt constructed decks, ready to play immediately
• Guide books that walk you through rules, card types, and game flow step by step
• Deck cases to store and protect each deck
• Extra card packs to expand your collection after your first games
• A 2-player playsheet that sets up the play area and keeps both players oriented during the game
• DON!! cards, the energy resource central to the One Piece TCG gameplay system

This is the English version of the LD-01, making it fully compatible with the English-language One Piece TCG card pool and ruleset.

How the LD-01 Learn to Play Deck Set Works

The One Piece TCG LD-01 starter deck set is built around a guided learning experience. The included guide books introduce the game progressively, explaining card anatomy, how DON!! cards fuel your plays, how Leaders like Luffy, Zoro, and Nami function, and how to build toward a win condition.

The 2-player playsheet removes the guesswork from setting up. Both players know exactly where each zone sits, which makes the first few games feel structured and easy to follow. The three prebuilt decks mean you are not choosing blindly. You have distinct, functional decks to compare and explore, giving new players a feel for different playstyles within the same box.

The extra card packs included in the set reward players who want to keep going after the tutorial experience, bridging the gap between a first game and building a personal deck.

Why This Set Is Great for Beginners

The One Piece Card Game Learn Together Deck Set stands out as a beginner entry point for several reasons:

• No additional purchases needed to start: decks, guides, cases, and a playsheet are all in one box
• 2-player ready: the set is designed specifically for two people learning together, not just solo reading
• Structured learning flow: the guide books progress from basics to full gameplay, so neither player feels lost
• Familiar characters: fan-favourite characters from the One Piece anime anchor the decks, making the cards immediately recognisable and engaging for fans
• English version: card text, guide books, and all printed content are in English, removing any language barrier for English-speaking players
• Official Bandai product: produced by the official publisher of the One Piece TCG, ensuring rules accuracy and card legality

If you are looking at the Bandai One Piece LD-01 as a gift for someone new to card games, this set answers the most common first-timer questions before they even ask them. What do I need? How do I set up? How do I learn? The box handles all three.

FAQs

What is included in the One Piece TCG Learn to Play Deck Set LD-01?

The LD-01 includes 3 prebuilt constructed decks, guide books, deck cases, extra card packs, a 2-player playsheet, and DON!! cards. Everything two players need to start is in the box.

Is this the English version of the LD-01?

Yes. The One Piece TCG Learn to Play Deck Set LD-01 English edition features fully English card text, guide books, and packaging.

Is the LD-01 suitable for complete beginners with no card game experience?

The set is designed specifically for new players. The included guide books walk through the rules progressively, and the 2-player playsheet provides a ready-made play area so first-time players can focus on learning the game rather than figuring out setup.

Do I need to buy anything else to start playing?

No additional purchases are required to begin. The three prebuilt decks, DON!! cards, guide books, and playsheet give two players a complete, playable experience straight from the box. If you want to protect your cards further, you can pair this set with One Piece TCG Official Sleeves Version 2 (2023), available separately.

How does the LD-01 differ from a standard One Piece TCG Starter Deck?

A standard starter deck such as the One Piece TCG Starter Deck Yamato (ST-09) is a single 51-card deck aimed at players already familiar with the game. The LD-01 Learn to Play Deck Set includes three decks alongside guide books, a playsheet, and deck cases, all structured around teaching two players simultaneously.

Can I use the cards from the LD-01 in competitive play?

The cards in the LD-01 are official Bandai One Piece TCG English cards. For specific tournament and format legality questions, refer to the official Bandai tournament rules for the One Piece Card Game.

What other One Piece TCG products pair well with this set?

Once you have worked through the learning decks, the One Piece TCG Ultra Deck: The Three Captains (ST-10) is a natural next step, offering a more advanced prebuilt deck experience. The One Piece TCG Japanese 1st Anniversary Set is also worth exploring for collectors and fans.
