Legacy of Destruction released on April 26, 2024 as a 100-card core booster set. It covers a lot of ground — a brand-new FIRE Dragon archetype, a redesigned Gandora, and a nostalgic return to the final duel of the original series.
FIRE Dragon Archetype
Built around the Synchro Monster Trident Dragion, this new theme floods the field with FIRE Dragon monsters to enable relentless Battle Phase pressure. The archetype supports Synchro Summons during the Battle Phase itself, creating a snowball effect that’s difficult for opponents to recover from mid-combat.
Gandora Evolved
Gandora, the Dragon of Destruction receives a reimagined version in this set. The new form can destroy and banish every other card on the field, then Special Summon a monster directly from your Deck — a reset button with immediate follow-up built in.
Silent Magician & Silent Swordsman Return
Legacy of Destruction revisits the final duel between Yugi Muto and Atem through new iterations of Silent Magician and Silent Swordsman. Support cards like Card of Sanctity and Ties of the Brethren feature artwork capturing the emotional weight of that rivalry, giving long-time fans a meaningful collector hook alongside real competitive utility.
