Yu-Gi-Oh! Crossover Breakers — Three New Archetypes for Competitive Play

Released December 5, 2024 — 60 Cards, Three Fresh Strategies

Crossover Breakers is a focused 60-card booster set built around three completely new archetypes. Each one targets a different playstyle and opens up new construction space for competitive and casual players alike.

Ryzeal — Xyz Loops Built on Thunder and Fire

Ryzeal is a Thunder/Pyro archetype centred on Level and Rank 4 Xyz Monsters. The core loop involves overlaying monsters into Xyz forms, detaching materials to search cards or disrupt the opponent, then recharging by attaching materials back from the Graveyard. It’s an engine that can keep going across multiple turns without running dry.

Maliss — Fairy Tale Cyberse Disruption

Maliss draws from fairy tale imagery and runs on Cyberse monsters — Pawns and Queens — backed by Trap Cards that activate immediately when set. The key piece is a Link Monster whose directional arrows grant bonuses to connected monsters, while the wider strategy focuses on banishing opponent cards for flexible, ongoing disruption.

Ryu-Ge — Dragons, Dinosaurs & Sea Serpents United

Ryu-Ge tells a narrative about dragons competing for succession, pulling together Dinosaur, Sea Serpent, and Wyrm monster types. Beyond the archetype’s internal synergies, these cards are designed to slot into and enhance existing Dinosaur, Sea Serpent, or Wyrm decks — giving established strategies meaningful new tools.
